BarCamp talks meeting

As I thought, I shouldn't have worried about the ticketing this morning, EventWax worked well and it all seems to have gone fine - 80 tickets, sold out in 21 minutes.

If you're coming to BarCamp Brighton and aren't sure what to talk about, or want a bit of guidance on public speaking, you should probably come to the Plotting BarCamp Brighton meeting that Matt's hosting on Monday 20th August.

If you're too far away or can't make it, we'll be trying to do something on the blog site as well, and I'll mention that when it's set up.

BarCamp Brighton ticketing nerves

The tickets for BarCamp Brighton open in just under half an hour and I must admit I'm nervous. Not that we won't sell out - Andy's guess was about four minutes for that, I'm more worried that EventWax will melt or something and people won't be able to register properly.

I'm sure if it survived being dConstructed then giving out 80 tickets won't be a problem, but still, this is the biggest public part of the conference until it happens, and I'm hoping it goes smoothly. I'm also glad Glenn is handling the behind-the-scenes side as I wouldn't want to ham-fist someone's application today :-)
